Data scientists join disease records from different sources through one Mondo class.
AI agents check exact Mondo disease names, such as Alzheimer disease, before they tag text or answer questions.
Researchers annotate records with Mondo disease classes, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus.
The Mondo Disease Ontology (Mondo) aims to harmonize disease definitions across the world. It merges several disease resources into one ontology. Classes in this entry include disease, cancer, asthma, diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease, cystic fibrosis and breast cancer. Class names follow Mondo's own labels, which are mostly lower case. The entity count is the number of classes that Mondo itself defines in EBI OLS. It does not count classes that Mondo imports from other ontologies. Researchers and data scientists can use this entry to find exact Mondo disease names before they annotate data or map disease codes.
disease, cancer, asthma, diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease, cystic fibrosis, breast cancer, infectious disease, hereditary disease
Look up Mondo disease names in this entry, then read each class's definition and cross-references in EBI OLS. Use Mondo's own labels, such as asthma, not labels imported from other ontologies.
