## Description

## Overview
Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace in Microsoft 365. The Microsoft Graph API has Teams resources that let apps integrate with Teams features. Microsoft publishes OpenAPI descriptions of Microsoft Graph in the microsoftgraph/msgraph-metadata repository; the v1.0 file covers all of Graph, not only Teams. The model in this entry currently holds Teams sub-types only. Examples are microsoft.graph.chatMessageAttachment, microsoft.graph.chatMessageMention, microsoft.graph.teamMemberSettings and microsoft.graph.teamsTabConfiguration. The main Teams resources are not in the model yet, pending a re-import. Many other types in the model are shared Graph types, such as microsoft.graph.identitySet and microsoft.graph.itemBody. Developers can use this entry to check message parts and team settings, and should check the main Teams resources in the Microsoft Graph docs.

## Top entities
microsoft.graph.chatMessageAttachment, microsoft.graph.chatMessageMention, microsoft.graph.chatMessageReaction, microsoft.graph.chatMessageHistoryItem, microsoft.graph.chatInfo, microsoft.graph.channelIdentity, microsoft.graph.teamMemberSettings, microsoft.graph.teamMessagingSettings, microsoft.graph.teamGuestSettings, microsoft.graph.teamsTabConfiguration, microsoft.graph.teamsAppPermissionSet, microsoft.graph.shiftActivity

## Mappings
- schema.org Message: conceptual. The message parts in this model, such as microsoft.graph.chatMessageMention, belong to Teams messages. Those align in intent with schema.org Message, not field by field.

## For agents
Query the library's CoreModels project for Teams sub-type shapes before writing Graph calls. The main Teams resources are not in the model yet, so check them in the Microsoft Graph docs. Sample prompt: "Using the Microsoft Graph API (Teams) schema in the Schematica Library, which fields of microsoft.graph.chatMessageAttachment give its content type, link and name?" Read via MCP: get_project_summary with graphProjectId bde69eb1776a42e6a3a10d71394cfed5.

## Provenance
Publisher: Microsoft. License: MIT (https://github.com/microsoftgraph/msgraph-metadata/blob/master/LICENSE). Version: v1.0. Format: OpenAPI (listed here as JSON Schema until the library format list includes it). Described by the Schema Librarian on 2026-10-24; auto-cataloged.
