This ontology with a subclass-based taxonomic hierarchy not only covers the broad spectrum of major biomedical concepts from molecular to clinical features of the disease, but also the different views on disease features held by molecular biologists, clinicians and drug developers.  PCaO organized under three biological viewpoints, i.e., epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment.<br>Note: The prostate cancer ontology version 1.0 (PCAO 1.0) was published by Hua Min in 2009 (PMID: 19497389). |
